Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
See the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which provides care for about 80 elephants. It is a beautiful sight to see elephants walking down to the river. Three times per day, they are led into the nearby river to be fed and bathed. Seeing those baby elephants being bottle-fed is lovely and charming.

Kandy Viewpoint
One of such breathtaking locations that offers a broad perspective of the medieval town is the Kandy viewpoint. The serene Kandy Lake and ethereal mountain provide a lovely backdrop. If you wish to take a photo or document a moment of Kandy’s splendour from above, here is the ideal location.
Gem Shop/Wood Carving and Batik Shop
While exploring Kandy, stop by the gem wood carving and batik shops to buy souvenirs.
Geragama Tea Factory
In terms of tea production, one of Sri Lanka’s most visited tourist spots is the Geragama Tea Factory. It is a charming depiction tucked away amid the rolling hills of Kandy. While you walk through the lush estates, the saris of the tea pickers will provide a pop of shade.
